Swim time

The kids have had 2 swim meets so far and have done great at both.  Ellie is loving being on the team and her swimming has improved more in the past 3 weeks than I thought possible.

Summer is in full swing with swimming, baseball, play dates and fun.  It was nice to relax a little bit last weekend and enjoy Jon.

Zachs baseball season started last week and he's loving it.  He's had some great hits and some amazing catches.

Swim time

Today was the first day of swim team.  They love it, but its rough for mom and dad.  We have 3 kids swimming this year in two different practices and meets Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  This is an away year meaning most of the meets will  require some (to a lot) of traveling.  The only plus is that Zach's baseball games are on Mon, Wed and Fridays.  We'll be busy, but at least we wont have to pick who to cheer on.  Welcome to summer!

Play time

After several days in the 90's, the temperature dropped to the 60's on Saturday.  We took full advantage and headed to the lake.

The kids love climbing on the solstice steps and anything resembling a large rock.

Messy church

Bens mission church hosted a "messy church" over the weekend.  It was basically a bunch of carnival type games set up along with a mini church service and fair food.

The kids had a blast with friends and ended the night with popcorn.  What could be better?

Baseball

Zach had his first baseball practice last week.  He's a total natural!

Hula

Ellies school had a daddy/daughter dance last week.  It was Hawaiian theme and Ellie had a blast dressing up and picking out Jons shirt for him.  She didn't do a ton of dancing with Jon and wanted to hang out with her friends more than her dad.  I guess she's a normal 7 year old!

18 days

This is the face of a girl who only has 18 days left of school.

Spring concert

The boys spring concert was last week.  Sam and Zach played recorder again.  They played "When the Saints go Marching in" and ended with jazz hands.  It was pretty adorable.  Bens group sang two songs and even threw a little dance in it.  They all did such a good job, we had to end the night with milk shakes.
