Camping

The boys got to go to their annual cabin camp out with Royal Rangers over the weekend.  They went sledding and hiking, played lots of games and ate lots of good food. Ellie and I caught a cold so we weren't very fun with out the rest of the group, but we managed to get in some play time and we took advantage of slightly warmer weather and took Charlie on a walk.  Its good to have everyone home again.

Next week is a big week for Ellie.  We might finally leave crazy Ellie behind and have happy Ellie come out more often.  Details to come later.

We've had a cold, but mostly green winter so far.  Mother Nature is finally making up for it!

Jon celebrated the big 3-8 yesterday.  We started the day with one of his favorites, breakfast pizza.  I made him chocolate chip cookies and he got to work all day.  At least he could work from home. We went to dinner with Corrie and then came back home for cookies and presents.

The celebrating continued today with a movie Ellie bought him for Christmas and a nap.  He's wild and crazy in his old age!  Happy birthday babe!

It amazes me how the boys can go to karate 3 times a week, Ellie can do an hour of gymnastics on top of their regular activities and they never run out of energy!  We needed to get out of the house yesterday afternoon so we went to a Mcdonalds play area near us so the kids could run for a while. After a while, it was just us and one other little girl.  She needed some help getting up a tall step and going down the slide.  Ben was happy to help every single time.  Her grandpa was so happy he offered to buy all the kids an ice cream cone, and they were all happy to accept his offer.  Zach thoroughly enjoyed every bite!
