After lots of begging and tears, Ben wore me down, then I wore Jon down. We are officially no longer the meanest parents ever because we got a dog today. He is 3 months old. He's a collie mix. We met him and a few of his siblings today. He was by far the most calm of the group. Sam surprised us by not being completely freaked out by him. However, Ellie has surprised us by not wanting to go near him.
We have a 2 week trial period with him. So far so good, but we'll see how he does once he gets used to us and the house. The kids have named him Charlie. I don't know if I'm sold on the name, but I'm sure it will grow on me.
