Catch up

I've been doing a bad job of taking pictures and keeping up with the blog, so I made an effort to remember the camera this weekend so I could get a few pictures posted.  We had a mostly relaxing weekend.  The boys have been having a rough time sharing a room with Ellie.  While she hasn't been beating them up (at least not as much as she beat up Zach) their similar sleep schedules have been a negative rather than the plus I was hoping for.  Ellie was keeping the boys up past 11pm most nights by banging toys together, climbing on their beds, hitting them, screaming at them and just being generally obnoxious.  We switched Zach and Ellie Friday night.  Ellie now has her own room with no one to bother.  Since Zach falls asleep at a normal hour, when the boys go to bed, they are forced to stay quiet and just go to sleep.  Unfortunately, Zach woke up at 5am Saturday morning and was up playing with Ben until 6:30am. Fortunately, he seems to have adjusted and we haven't had any problems the past 2 nights.  

After more sleep and some breakfast, the kids broke out the Hungry, Hungry Hippos and beat each other up for a bit.

Jon took the boys to a playground while the babies were sleeping.  He did a good job of wearing them out.

When they got back, they headed out with the sidewalk chalk.  Sadly, it rained before we got a picture of their creations.  We did manage to get a picture of unibrows they drew on themselves.

Ben headed to a friends house after church on Sunday so we headed over there for dinner and to pick him up.  Sam and Caoilin have a special friendship.

We've spent the last couple weeks at playgrounds, the pool, finishing our Financial Peace University classes, finishing our summer reading, having a book study with friends and getting ready to get back into the school routine and as of last night, watching football!!  I'm hoping to do a better job of keeping up this month.
