Today was Bens first day of preschool. I think he was excited because he was awake and jumping on our bed at 3am! When it was finally time to get up, he told us he was excited to go to school. He kept asking when we were going to leave and when it was time, we headed out and he didn't say a word about not wanting to be there.
Jon was able to take a long lunch so we could both be there. We walked in and Ben got a name tag. We did a quick craft together, took our picture and read a story about the first day of school. Then they kicked the parents out. Ben was ready to play, but gave us each a hug and and wave bye. It really didn't bother him at all that we were leaving. I got a little teary, but held it together! When I picked him up the first thing he said was he didn't want to go home. He wanted to stay at school. Once I assured him he could go back tomorrow, we headed home and he talked non stop about the toys, his new friends and snack time. I think its going to be a great year for him!
